Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all purchases made through SaidWhen ("we," "us," or "our") for the services available at https://saidwhen.com (the "Service").

1. Merchant of Record

All payments for the Service are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com ("Paddle"). Paddle handles billing, invoicing, and payment-related inquiries on our behalf. Any refund, where applicable, is issued through Paddle.

2. Subscriptions and Free Tier

SaidWhen offers a free tier that lets you try core functionality at no cost before deciding to upgrade. We encourage you to use the free tier to evaluate whether the Service meets your needs before purchasing a paid plan.

Paid plans are offered on a recurring subscription basis (monthly or annually).

3. No Refunds

All payments are non-refundable.

Because a free tier is available for you to evaluate the Service before purchasing, we do not offer refunds or credits for:

  • Subscription fees already paid.
  • Partial or unused billing periods.
  • Features or usage you did not use.
  • Renewals that were not cancelled before the renewal date.

Please ensure the Service meets your needs — using the free tier — before subscribing to a paid plan.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Through your account settings within the Service, or
  • By contacting us at hello@saidwhen.com.

When you cancel:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period.
  • You will continue to have access to your paid features until that date.
  • Your subscription will not renew, and you will not be charged again.
  • No partial refund is provided for the remainder of the billing period.

After the billing period ends, your account will typically revert to the free tier (where available) or be downgraded, subject to any applicable data retention terms.

5. Automatic Renewal

Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price unless cancelled before the renewal date. It is your responsibility to cancel before renewal if you do not wish to be charged for the next cycle.

6. Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we (via Paddle) may retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected, your access to paid features may be suspended or downgraded until payment is successfully processed.

7. Exceptional Circumstances

While our standard policy is that all payments are non-refundable, we may, entirely at our discretion, consider refund requests in exceptional circumstances (such as a confirmed billing error or a documented duplicate charge). Any such refund is granted at our sole discretion and does not create an obligation to grant future refunds. To raise such a request, contact hello@saidwhen.com.

8. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Policy affects any rights you may have under mandatory applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction, which cannot be excluded or limited. Where such laws grant you a right to a refund that overrides this Policy, we will honor those rights.
